HAYES VALLEY
Sometimes you have to shake things up!
Once a neighborhood you passed through on your way to somewhere else, the destruction of the central freeway during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake sprouted the now ultra-chic Hayes Valley. The neighborhood’s walkability with inviting storefronts (there is a strict no-chain-stores policy) has created foot traffic which in turn brings forth a sense of community. Happy to call this home and excited to share with you some of our favorite shopping and dining spots. Needless to say, since moving into the hood, our cook-top has not gotten much use…

LINDEN ROOM
Linden Room – very fun groovy little spot (I’m talking maybe 8 bar stools) attached to the delicious new Night Bird restaurant – there is even an old-fashion record player playing everything from bossa nova to soul. This is one of those places you have to be in the know to go – and now you are!
